Wunibald Müller

The end of the monarchy in the church
     – From the empowerment of the laity through baptism

Today's shortage of priests is the result of a failed ecclesiastical development into a two - class society, to the exaltation of priestly ordination and its attachment to celibacy.
The communities need to regain their self-confidence and not continue allowing the hierarchy free reign. Müller demands responsible positions for women in the church and a decided restriction on the power of the bishops.

Not just (individual) perpetrators are guilty
     – How human image and church structures facilitate abuse

Those who are involved with the cases of abuse in the church know about the guilt the perpetrators. But behind them are relationships that the individuals are not alone responsible for.  What has led to abuse going around in the church and was glossed over and covered up by many bishops?  The experiences of the psychotherapist suggest what needs to change in the church.

Andrea Taschl-Erber

When Women like Men were Apostles
     – Early female followers of Jesus

The New Testament knows no obligatory celibacy and does not distinguish between the sexes. The idea that only men can take on important tasks in the church in the first communities is a foreign idea to the followers of Jesus. Today we must ask if it would be correct to follow the example of the early church.

Herbert Bartl

Encouraging communities
     – The bishops do not have responsibility

The churches are where Christian life becomes reality, and therefore the Eucharist must also be celebrated in them, even if ecclesiastical regulations want to prevent this.

Renate Bachinger

From crisis to the recognition of vocation
     – A report from Practice

How it could be if the official church came its senses, is shown by the example from Upper Austria. Renate Bachinger leads up to four Sunday services in the month, including high offices for the major Feastdays. Her duties include funerals, baptisms, weddings and blessings for couples. She can now finally live her vocation.
