The 2019 People of God Conference is supported by the four reform movements: "We are church", "Pastor Initiative", "Priests without Office" and the responsible group for this years conference is "Lay Initiative". All are invited who support the urgently needed reforms in the Roman Catholic Church.

Abstract of the Conference

The ecclesiastical rules must not deny Eucharistic celebtrations for the congregations. The commandment of Jesus: "Do this in memory of me" must not fail because of church law. It is the communities that celebrated the Eucharist in New Testament times, when there were no "ordained priests" yet. Parishes need to insist on their mature autonomy and resist mergers into larger parish groupings. Where no taditionally trained priests are available, the communities must themselves select someone from their midst, man or woman, to preside at  the Eucharistic celebration. It would be irresponsible to just go without. The power of the bishops must be returned to one of service, so that the communities regain their traditional independence.
